About Me

I was born near White Bear Lake, Minnesota and grew up going to the Mahtomedi Public Schools, graduating from Mahtomedi High School as runner up for the "Best Laugh" senior superlative. I attended Cornell Universtiy in Ithaca, NY where I completed a B.A. in physics and math. I graduated in a pandemic and moved to Pasadena, CA to begin work toward a Ph.D. in physics

I am passionate about learning things! In my free time, I tend to find myself reading about physics, Quantum Information is perhaps the thing which I'm not researching (otherwise it wouldn't be free time) that I'm most interested in. I also like solving puzzles and math and logic problems, crosswords, Sokoban, and more. I'm also fascinated by lingusitics, the history of the ancient near east, and the history of linguistics in the ancient near east.

My favorite whole number is 17 and my favorite topological space is \( S^3 \)
